Pros

Accomplished colleagues, powerful programs, a diversity of issue and focus areas. Programs run independently with administrative support from central staff and office, no micromanagement or barriers to work from central office.

Cons

Programs run themselves, meaning they are expected to bring in their own funding. Very little support for organizational development or fundraising. Since they run so independently, programs are often very siloed despite sharing PHI as their parent organization. Central office is very supportive within its capacity.

great benefits if interning 6 months or longer. including professional guidance support throughout the internship, healthcare coverage, networking opportunities, and professional development events.

Cons

The pay was low for that level of selectivity of the internship.
