Pros

- Opportunities to expand products - Job Security - Ok benefits....

Cons

- Keeps incompetent individual on and then empowers them.... - Non competitive pay/compensation - Ever hear of an average Joe? Their Joe isn't average... - Unprofessional forms of communication - Unqualified hires - Lack of any understanding tied to Agile ... - SPOs ... yes this is a thing. No proper POs, no proper Scrum masters, SPOs (Single Point Owner). This is probably the worst thing I've ever seen in any Agile setting. - ITDM ... Another Publix invention that makes almost no sense. - Fragmented team coordination. It's basically pulling a mountain to get multiple teams to coordinate efficiently. - PM team is almost 100% separate and fragmented leaving a lack of overall project vision and direction. - The Directors are honestly pretty blind to the problems and needs of a growing department. - Purchasing tools is an absolute nightmarish process. - There's more of a focus on the website than mobile... no real understanding of why other than bias.

Pros

Decent benefits for a company based in central Florida.

Cons

- Information Systems (IT department) is poorly managed and feels chaotic. I/S teams feel siloed off. -There's very little help from other teams if you are using their systems. - All associates in this department seem to share the same belief; there's not enough time in the day for all their responsibilities. - There are very few architects, and they seem to be spread thin between all the projects happening at once. Technologies are carelessly thrown at dev teams without any training. There's virtually no direction due to their limited resources. - Developers are on fire, their managers are on fire, and it seems to continue up the "ladder." - Very little diversity within I/S corporate. - Pay is not competitive for programmers/programmer analysts/ systems analyst programmers.

Pros

People are great, Company Values, Salary

Cons

Company is stuck in the past. Most of management came from inside the company and absolutely refuse to do things differently. 45 hour work weeks at a minimum. A lot of busy work that has no meaning.
