      Pros

      The benefits are outstanding! Plenty of opportunities for growth and development. Great teamwork and attitude, Publix employees the best so there are lots of like minded people working toward one goal.

      Cons

      It was told to me before I was hired that "if you take care of your customers and treat them like royalty then you will do great at Publix", but that is not the case in the grocery department. I have been accused several times of "wasting time" looking for something in the back room for a customer, or needing to focus more on the cart I'm working to be done faster. I started shopping at Publix because my wife was looking for something that was empty on the shelf and an associate offered to look in the back for it, he came out a few minutes later and gave her what she needed. I believe that kind of care and service is worth it!

      -Really easy to make friends -Great Benefits -Raise every six months as long as you do your job -*Opportunity for advancement -Relatively easy work environment

      Cons

      -A lot like high school (people gossiping and holding grudges) -Main pro they preach is stock options, but the stocks are not publicly traded so the price is based on what the board of directors say it is. -Judge you based on criteria that you have no control over -Advancement takes a long time
