Competent teammates, sincere dedication to providing a vital public service, promising new efforts to improve employee development, increase transparency, eliminate silos, upgrade IT pay and focus on what's really important to serving customers and the community.

Cons

Slow advancement, because people tend to spend their careers here. State regulation sometimes slows the speed of changing customer policies.

Pros

Best reason is that most employees are fantastic to work with, from clerical through managerial. The company also has great benefits, especially PTO. Clean, professional working atmosphere. The company has diverse departments from energy trading to eagle watching. Provides critical services to the community. Good internal communication from management to the workforce.

Cons

No clear succession plan; Director level positions often hired from the outside. Termination policies for non-represented personnel are questionable. Too many changes in management oversight of departments. Personnel Assessment forms used to determine employee performance often confusing as are assigned goals.

nice location and easy access to freeways and lots of places to eat close by. Nice building and very clean work place.

Cons

very heads down atomspere with not alot of chatter. People keep to themselves.
