Pros

Extreme amount of vacation and sick time; on-site fitness center

Cons

In many departments, individuals are not promoted based on performance - individuals are promoted based on friendships and other relationships. PUC is full of politics, smiling faces and back-stabbing. Senior Management fills positions with those that they feel will "do their bidding." Morals and values are said to be a high priority, however they are not. Very bad treatment of staff occurs and no one is ever held accountable. Vacation and sick time do not compensate for what you may have to deal with at PUC.

Pros

Nice people to work with! Time is flexible. This work requires you to be very patient and be prepared to answer lots of questions in some entry level CS courses.

Cons

Really low wage for undergraduate students, though they might have the same workload as the Graduate Teaching Assistants. CS offers the lowest wage among all the departments I know. Considering switching to another job next semester.

Pros

You get to make friends. I was fortunate to be in the team that received different duties every week and was not tied down to a routine. You get to eat lunch at the dinning courts for only $3 a meal for part of the summer. The work is not too difficult and you get paid a fair wage.

Cons

The job was a temporary summer job and it does not continue throughout the school year. Some workers are quite negative and may influence you. Some people are very proud and have big egos, lazy, complain a lot and talk behind each other's back.
