Pros

Enough money for West Lafayette. Small university town. You do not have much to do other than work and hang around with friends.

Cons

Nothing important, just the usual grad student life. There is wide disparity between departments. Ex: Chemical enigneering and Mechanical engineering pay as much as $2200 where as CS pays $1794 and Graduate assistants make $1300. Plus they take away taxes from these.
