Pros

Somewhat flexible hours. Great amount of replenishing vacation. Energetic and youthful people. Within walking distance of several great restaurants. Campus is compact and walker friendly.

Cons

Dental plan could be better. Parking can be difficult to find and have to pay for parking permit. Have great new workout facility on campus, but must pay a monthly fee (although it is cheaper than any other option off campus).

Pros

Collegial community that truly values cultural diversity. Provides low-cost parking in a relatively new, brightly-lit garage, as well as large surface lots. Great technology. Close to Chicago and Lake Michigan. Encourages tenure-track and tenured faculty research, as well as undergraduate student research. Requires all undergraduates to complete two service learning courses.

Cons

Not many good places to eat nearby, and the surrounding community is a bit depressed. Due to statewide budget cuts for Indiana state colleges, they have had to deal with budget cuts. Pay is a bit low compared to other universities where I interviewed. Relies too heavily on adjunct faculty.

Pros

You serve Intelligent and Educated people. The students add energy and vitality. It was also close to home. Love the tradition of Purdue.

Cons

I worked very hard with only minimal raises since ten they have restructured. I can imagine even lower salaries and Longer hours Exhausted at the end of every day!
