This role serves as a direct pipeline to potential future employment, offering a significant advantage over applying as an external candidate after graduation. Excellent support from both my Purdue faculty advisor and the industry team, creating a well-rounded and robust research environment.

      Cons

      The pace can be demanding due to the deliverable-focused nature of industry-sponsored research, which runs in parallel with standard PhD academic requirements.
