Pros

It is unfortunate that there have been some negative reviews about Purolator International on Glassdoor, as they do not reflect our overall employee engagement. The culture here is tightly-knit, entreprenurial, and generally collaborative. If you have good ideas to improve the business and offer solutions for customers, you will be heard.

Cons

This industry has generally not kept up in terms of benefits and the type of flexibility that may be common in tech, healthcare, etc. Also it can be isolating for some employees who don't work at one of the district or headquarters offices, but there have been some more steps to address that through teleconferences, site visits, training opportunities, etc.

In speaking with our VP, Sales & Mktg, we are currently reviewing the commission plan to better align it to both the company plans and also to the sales team roles while also optimizing the earning opportunity. Pros

Opportunities are available to those willing to put in long hours (sales, ops) and step up to the plate.

Cons

Micromanagement of tasks via CRM analysis and little support given to sales. Voice any criticism (constructive or not) at your own peril as senior management takes things way too personally. Unknown entity in US subcontracting all transportation.
