Great people, aging systems

Pros

Purolator is full of great people and the company is fairly accommodating. Working out of head office is certainly pleasant. It is awesome working for a well-known and loved brand across Canada.

Cons

Purolator's aging technology infrastructure is annoying at best. Large companies are slow to update their tech but Purolator seems to be even slower than most.

Pros

A lot of passionate people who want to see the company succeed. A brand that is recognized by most Canadians.

Cons

People leaders are poorly developed by the organization in every function, including HR. This leads to bullying, lack of communication abour performance expectations & an inability to act professionally. The majority front line supervisors up to the middle management lack interpersonal or conflict resolution skills. Good employees who do not have enough tenure to warrant staying, end up leaving. Because of ambiguity around the future of the organization, a lot of people are in a "wait & see" position, but are't driving process improvements or are being roadblocked by their superiors when they try to make the business better.

Company is actually a great place to work. Good benefits, friendly people. All equipment and tools are provided. Training provided. They do breakfast every other month for those with a birthday in the previous two months. They do bonus lunches for safety records, etc.

Cons

Does not pay well. No room for advancement.
