Pros

Excellent Benefits, hybrid work options. On the whole, a great team to work with.

Cons

Unfortunately, I drew a bona fide loose cannon as a boss. This character pounced on me very early on, almost from day 1. He’s since moved onto a sales based role at another company, and thank god - they were a bonafide train wreck. In the first few days in my role, I hadn't even filled out the HR/admin forms required to get set up and in a position to start the actual work he was already demanding from me. Once I was able to dive into my tasks, he pounced at every turn - there was absolutely no breathing room: from the first week in my role, he'd book video chats with me, sometimes 2-3 times a day, questioning my every move as well as in meetings with my teammates. Before I'd completed my tasks, he'd reach out and make me show my progress on them, which of course hampered my ability to produce high-quality work. Given the severe levels stress, I started to experience, I felt like I had no way out. Nobody should expect to be treated like this in a place of work. However, in meetings with more senior directors and VPs, his demeanour changed dramatically; he knew how to charm upper-level employees in positions of power while making my work (and unfortunately personal life) a living hell. Overall, I still think Purolator has a decent work culture. However, as in any potential role, pay close attention when interviewing with the individual you'll ultimately work under; see what you can glean online about them through legitimate work review sites, and if your spidey senses tell you something's off or slightly unsettling about them, there's a decent chance you're right.

Pros

There is none. The company had a name and status in the courier industry, but it's all down in the dumps.

Cons

So-called Sr Mgmt is the worst. CEO, CFO, and other SVPs are worthless and totally incompetent. Very high-handed approach. No growth opportunities. Favoritism and politics are rampant in the company. The CFO thinks she owns the org. Totally incompetent and has no clue.
