It is a concrete manufacturer

Pros

It pays well and the hours are consistent

Cons

It is a concrete manufacturer so it is dirty, hazardous, a good ‘ol boys club and they would rather patch a broken piece of equipment or make do rather than run more productively and spend money

Pros

Nice work/life balance depending on your department

Cons

This company does not pay anyone market value, there is not any growth, You will never get a good raise. Where ever you are when you come in is where you will stay. HQ does not deal with the employees who are not within HQ. The benefits are the worse that I've ever seen. The company does not pay any part of the meds, dental or anything else that is all on the employee. So if you make 50k and you need insurances and it is 10k you basically make 40k etc.

JUST MY THOUGHTS ......

Pros

1) The office & plant people. Just extraordinary. Just loved everyone in that bunch! They never had gotten the credit that they deserved. 2) The corporate office staff. Most are wonderful! 3) Having that job and getting a paycheck. I always felt very grateful. 4) The free lunches for people's bdays and holidays.

Cons

When I worked there, their reports were just a bunch of spreadsheets however, their software either had some of this info already in the system or had the capability (or could be programmed) to have this info put into the system. THEN, you could just run a simple report or corporate could. That's how it works in the 21st century. Oh yeah, and how about paying your workers a little bit more. You can start with the production workers. I realize it's been a long time since the C-suites have had to pinch a penny, but just try to live on what they make for a 40 hour work week. YOU COULD NOT! You could just about pay your rent and have a little left over for a LITTLE food. When some people reach the top they forget what it is like to struggle, if they ever had to........
