Pros

A pro is the resources available to the company, but these resources have been underutilized due to the lack of lateral thinking by management.

Cons

Employees with expertise and a growth mindset are pushed to the side by those who have spent their lives at Quad. There is only one mindset; if you choose to be a visionary, you will soon find the lifers bring you down and try to have you buy into their mundane existence.

Cons

Quad is a great basic learning experience for emerging college students. As you continue your growth and want more experience I felt like there was a lack of understanding what I wanted and how I can further my development in this industry. For the 2/3 years I was with Quad I never got promoted as there was a “committee” that need to see the work experienced and the longevity. Each job is different and each responsibility is different and I never got the full explanation of what is truly required to get promoted or why it’s such a LONG process. This is not only me as the whole C.S team was in the same situation and didn’t understand why it never happened or took almost a full calendar year to get an answer. Unfortunately the contract with the account we supported came to an end and the team got the bad end of the stick and was thrown to look elsewhere outside the company for a job. I truly hoped that Quad would’ve assigned each of us to a different account to stay within Quad. Because of this decision over 15 people are still in the search for a job and Quad is doing its “best” to give people severance (2 weeks of pay). At the end of the day job security is and will always be at the top of our list. As far as for supervisors/Managers I thought they were great teachers but even better micromanagers. I had a hard time separating myself from them as I needed the self growth of autonomy. I did discuss with them what I was looking for and explained it to them several ways possible but it kept reverting back to it’s original ways. It was very discouraging and I felt like it was going to be a never ending battle of explanations and discussions. I was NEVER on bad terms with either manager or supervisor they just had their own ways of doing things and it could have been better.
