Pros

Very dynamic and fast paced work environment. Collegues are very competent and work long hours. Benefits package is good. Vast majority of folks have their own private office (instead of cube). Management is honest and ethical. Not a whole lot of politics or bickering that I am aware of amonst the rank and file. Review process is quite fair and open and happens every 6months. Lot of visibility at upper management level in terms of who is working on what and hence, definitely not a place for slackers to go and hide somewhere.

Cons

Not much in terms of career growth and promotions are hard to get. Merely being brilliant is not enough. Be ready to put in the extra effort if you want to go to the next level.

Pros

Great benefits, and resources, senior people are fairly well compensated. Lot of interesting work, great colleagues, good diversity, strong industry presence, sustained competitive advantage.

Cons

Company is becoming too large, and top heavy. I feel there is a fair amount of dead wood, some house cleaning would be useful. Engineers have relatively little room for lateral movements. Lots of duplication. Would like product management, marketing to be more competent. Stock price has been up and down over the last 10 years, but relatively flat (or even down), some competitors did better. The management can be very agressive in goals, w/o backing up with resources. This creates a lot stress on the team. However, this varies from division to division. QCT (CDMA Technologies) is the busiest place to work at, but also the safest in terms of job security.
