      QCT is a tough place to work... know what you are getting yourself into

      Pros

      Being on the cutting edge of the wireless industry. You gain visibility into technologies and business decisions that will influence the rest of the world. Best employer in San Diego, which is a fantastic city to live in. There are really no other good chip design companies within SD... in fact it's hard to find other good technology companies in San Diego. Nothing compared to Irvine or Bay Area

      Cons

      QCT is not a great place to work. Most within QCT view themselves as "Quality Control Technicians". The culture needs to change and the engineers need to be better appreciated.

      it is in San Diego, much better than San Jose

      Cons

      Qualcomm suffers from a culture where change is not welcome. People are incentivized to collect their paycheck and not rock the boat. This leads to a situation where a few people take advantage of the status quo until the company is no longer competitive
