Pros

- medical benefits. - many onsite technology lectures.

Cons

- lower than average compensation in terms of salary and stocks. - too much emphasis on political gains by directors/managers rather than emphasizing on actual engineering work. - nobody is willing to make critical decisions when it comes to risk management and setting priorities. - no specific promotion guideline, it's mostly dependent on personal relationships with upper management rather than actual contributions. - competent engineers keep leaving after getting fed up with too much politics.

Pros

*Excellent Health Benefits (could be changing soon) *Decent Comp. Plans *Above-board, open-door corporate culture *Talented co-workers and managers *Tons of educational and knowledge expansion opportunities

Cons

*Nobody at the top layer leaves, so VERY limited upward mobility *Office politics are worse than most *Company getting increasingly stingy with options, RSUs, etc. *Innovation and pushing the envelope not encouraged. Don't rock the boat *Very "inside-out" development mentality which is typical of Engineering-focused companies ("I just built this cool widget, now let's figure out who wants to buy it.")

Pros

Very good medical and dental plan. San Diego is a good place to work.

Cons

1) Managers are technically inept. Especially, there are so many directors and senior directors that you forget count of them. 2)There is a lot of stress on minute issues or the same issue coming up in a different ways. 3) Promotions are based on number of hours put in. No respect for quality of work but stress on quantity of work. This goes back to the point mentioned above. Since mangers are technically not smart, they don't have clue about time taken for a task. 4)No freedom/room to work outside of your assignment. Very poor in terms of inernal group transfers.
