Pros

I have been working at Qualitest since last summer and there are a lot of things that I appreciate about this company: - The company is growing and new positions keep opening - It is a good place to learn and develop your skills by learning on the qttechacademy platform on Udemy that is at our disposal for any course that we may want to take or by simply asking for advice and guidance from our management and colleagues. - My direct manager has always been supportive and helpful with providing insight, helping with new technologies that I didn’t know about and guiding me in new projects - Both the Delivery Manager and the VP of Business Management and Operations care about the people working here, they have an “open door” policy, they are willing to listen to us and help with anything we need. They are fun people to be around with, always lift up the mood and most of all they are people that you can learn a lot from. - During the Covid quarantine we had a lot of support from the company, efforts were made to preserve as many positions as possible as well as to assure projects for us to work on and we were given the WFH benefit. During this period we had Global Communications, Townhalls, activities from the P&T team to keep us united and interacting, articles on how to manage our mental health during these trying times and many more. - Most of my colleagues are quality-driven, hardworking and fun people that are willing to help you integrate and learn. - We have coffee, tea, sweets, fruits at the office every day at our disposal and a free lunch once a week offered by the company. - The office is always clean - We have a medical subscription to a private clinic - Awesome parties and team buildings - Fussball and PS4 in the game area

Cons

- Remote/Work from home(outside the Covid situation) is possible rarely, just in extreme cases when you have to justify the need to work that day from home. - Salaries are not very high (at least for people that have under 1 year in the company).

Pros

I worked for QT as a Google contractor for over two years. The team they put together was really great. Since the team was all about internationalization, the team was incredibly diverse and interesting. Working at Google was the reason anyone took the job to begin with, it came with a lot of benefits, a cool culture, and a lot of freedom and autonomy.

Cons

Unfortunately for Qualitest, most of the perks of the job were Google perks, not Qualitest ones. The pay is insultingly bad, raises are almost non-existent, and no matter how hard you work, you won't get recognition for it (except for a $100-$200 gift card one time, which is a joke). I worked extremely hard the first year, but once I realized it was futile, kept up appearances and nothing changed. What a waste of my own talents. Upper management are a married couple who frankly have no grasp of how to run a project. They are extremely disconnected from the reality we lived every day. They didn't even seem to know what we were doing within Google, they only cared about the dollar signs they saw coming their way. Typical corporate BS'ers with no regard for employees. The project itself was cool, but you will be shut down if you try to build things for the team's benefit and try to make your job more than the snorefest it is. If you are a Software Engineer, stay far away, because you won't learn any useful skills and it will make finding a job after QT much harder. To make matters worse, they ended the project by moving it to Portugal, Mexico, and Texas. At least they had the decency to give us a 6 month heads up, and promised that those who wanted a job elsewhere within QT could do so. I can count on one hand how many people kept a job within the company. A blatant lie.
