Pros

Quantcast is led by a CEO with proven track history of success. The company has retained its relatively flat structure, resulting in approachable management and timely decision-making process. The company has industry-leading technology and continues to grow its intellectual property portfolio. As a startup, there are many opportunities to roll up your sleeves, try different things and work collaboratively with various teams. Individual contributions are transparent/tangible. The engineers are friendly, social and can work well with non-technical staff. Catered lunches and dinners are a definite plus.

Cons

Although a secondary factor in accepting a position with the company, salary and benefits are not as competitive as other companies/startups I have worked for. That said, I expect this to change as the company grows and becomes even more profitable. The recruiting team is solid but there is lack of HR presence.

Pros

Quantcast employs very smart folks. If you are independent and confident employee, you will do well there. There is much opportunity to contribute and gain great experience. Most employees are dedicated and work hard.

Cons

Not strong in HR, lack of leadership in HR. Quantcast would do well to add experience and strength here.

Pros

Massive amounts of data. Lots of interesting and challenging problems. Fun company to work for right in the middle of downtown San Francisco. Good benefits and salary, free food every day for lunch/dinner. Sometimes we get breakfasts, but don't count on those.. The upper management is generally really motivated, smart, and accessible. The CEO is awesome.

Cons

Office space is a bit crowded. There's also not a lot of incentive to work really hard except for your personal satisfaction (which in my case is enough, but thought I'd put it out there). Interestingly, a lot of people stay long hours.
