The goals and targets of each team are misaligned even though they're all working towards the same goal i.e. creating value for the shareholder. It's a basic problem that was flagged to management over and over again and nothing was done because managers were so much more interested in their own advancement. I know that there is an element of this in all companies but at Quantcast it really felt as though this would be their undoing. Also, there is very little focus on career advancement and the sales team has one woman and ten men.

Very poor middle management completely lacking the vision necessary to build a successful team. Poor product and market knowledge in key employees No progression opportunities as outside hires are favored over internal promotions.
