Pros

It is much more informal than many other offices. Which makes it slightly more relaxing.

Cons

They continuously promoted associates that had no experience, no knowledge, no thorough understanding, and no desire to acquire the knowledge of/for their newly assigned role. Lack of support, lack of proper gratitude, and they do not take care of the associates who work day and night to ensure their company continues to be successful... They instead continue allowing said associate to be a slave to them while promoting associates that do not even have general understanding of the departments roles and functions. Quick morale killer. There was also so much inter office drama, extra marital affairs, gossiping, it truly felt like you were going to 8th grade class everyday walking into the door.

Pros

Insurance, Paid Holidays, Layover Pay, Downtime Pay, Physical Job. Most of the fellow drivers, and office personnel I dealt with personally were some of the friendliest and helpful individuals I've ever had the fortune of working with. Direct deposit every Friday. A company debit card that you could put money on each week to use on the road. When I was broke down OTR they paid to put me in a hotel for 3 days, and after they were told it would be another week before the truck would be fixed. They paid for a rental car back home. Reimbursed for gas spent for rental car.

Cons

Not as much home time as I would've liked personally(2 weeks out, in 2 days). Equipment was only serviced every 4 months. I ran out of the Decatur, Al terminal, while there were plenty of loads, I was there while the terminal transitioned through 2 dispatchers. Out of the Decatur terminal there were mostly Freightliner Columbia glider kits, some Peterbilt 379 glider kits, and a handful of newer Peterbilt 387's and Freightliner Cascadia's. While the mechanics in Decatur were great at their job, since there are only 3 of them, they stayed covered up. When it was time for your truck to be serviced, it could take anywhere from half a day to a few days depending on what all needed fixed. It was constantly stressed to the drivers to limit idle times, even though none of the Decatur trucks were equipped with an APU. At times there seemed to be communication issues between management and the drivers.
