Broken down equipment and they know it, but do nothing about it. Manager is a tightwad and doesn't appear to advocate for good working equipment probably because they get a bonus for not spending money. But, they keep saying plenty of money is available for new equipment and good supplies. Porous nitrile gloves that allow some chemicals to seep through. This is a long term safety issue, but nothing is done. Sometimes they are okay, but when they aren't, you just have to suffer they consequences. No proper protective equipment for times when waste chemicals have to be disposed. Jury-rigged work environment Trainer spent most of their time surfing the web and not training to the point that people later get put on performance plan for things they didn't know because trainer was too lazy to train them on proper procedures. Experienced workers violate the procedures because they have to focus on time instead of quality results since no overtime is allowed. Managers act like they didn't know it was happening, but hold others accountable and put them on a performance plan just for doing what others and team leads tell them to do. Oh, and when they are low on work, they send you home with no pay or offer to allow you to use sick time or vacation time if you want to get paid. Sad thing is this is legal. They essentially put their lack of planning or desire to absorb costs of no work directly on the backs of hourly employees. This could be a great place to work because fellow workers are good people, but turnover is high so people are gone after 6 months to a year. They say they are trying to make it better, but when you put people on a performance plan for following what their leaders tell them to do, it's just wrong and soul-crushing place to work.
