      Hourly pay is very low ($19-$20/hour for project engineer) Poor management Poor training Poor insurance plans High turnover rate This job is okay as an "in between job" while you're searching for a position that you're really interested in

      Pros

      Lots of the people here are very smart and professional. Flexible hours can net you some overtime if you are an individual contributor. Way to build network at Pratt if you are fresh out of college and would not get directly hired there.

      Cons

      The compensation and benefits are terrible. The HR is unhelpful. Lots of people in Management are clueless. The metrics based structure creates a focus on things that don't necessarily relate to being a good engineer. The work is mundane for the most part.

      Pros

      Before i start I would like to clarify that I am in the engineering group, not project engineering. So I work for the suposedly "good" department. The only reason to work here is to get a starting job if you can't find one anywhere else. The work life balance is OK because everyone just does whatever they want and management doesn't care.

      Cons

      Everything. The pay is bad. Benefits are terrible compared to other engineering companies. No training. Don't get a job here unless the only other option is homelessness.
