Pros

Had great products and great people. The company was growing into a large software company with a good vision on the future.

Cons

Became stagnant in the products and the technology acquisitions. People started to exit the company for other companies.

Pros

Excellent set of software products and management was good at letting employees know why there might be a layoff. A very smart and dedicated group of people that moved on to Dell when Dell acquired Quest.

Cons

A mid-size company, approximately 5,000 employees, tends to have a more formal set of rules and regulations and lots of meetings. That sometimes slowed down quick decision making. People tended to work a lot of hours, that limited a good work/life balance.Overall, a good company.
