Cons
Many interactions with others across the company are combative and stressful. Employees are reluctant to talk to one another or to build rapport with work peers. It is difficult to make meaningful progress. Recently the CEO has taken a play out of the Elon Musk playbook and mandated that employees with range of an office, return to office 3 days a week. Not a great way to build confidence in senior management or to build cohesive teams. As a manager, my employees strongly disagree with this position. The reason for the mandate was to improve collaboration. The problem with this is that only one person from each of my teams is within range of an office, so there will be no in-person collaboration anyway.
