      Pros

      Good benefits such as health insurance, pension etc. Good community Spirit

      Cons

      It has been bought out by a private firm so they are chopping up the business and selling it on. It would be more beneficial to them if they just told the business the plan rather than the cloak and dagger attitude they have.

      Pros

      Most colleagues are helpful and efficient. You get full support from management. They allow and actually encourage you on more involvement with other units. Small team and big customer base = great opportunities. You get to learn things fast. Pay is good. Other compensation and benefits are nice (still not best I seen in market). You have freedom on work-life balance. No body can force you to overtime or rushing deadlines unless you want to.

      Cons

      Sometimes internal processes and paperwork can get you frustrated. :( Lack of strategic partnership with other vendors / major players. Low market share in some product category.

      good people and a recognized need to innovate

      Cons

      years of underinvestment in solutions while under Dell, followed by wholesale replacement of senior leadership by former Attachmate alumni post divestiture, devolved one of the most successful independent software vendors into spare parts.
