      Great company and interesting projects

      Pros

      Being a software developer there was a pleasure. Technically challenging projects, great atmosphere. Teams were quite independent from each other, so it's up to you to choose right tools and technologies.

      Cons

      Probably quite common for large companies going through a series of merges. Your project could be closed easily because another company was bought with a similar product.

      Pros

      Quest has a real opportunity to grow through the acquistion by Dell in September 2012. It will be very interesting to see how the leverage of the Dell salesforce helps Quest grow organically.

      Cons

      Going from 3000 people to 120,000 people presents its own set of challenges. Hopefully Quest will work through the growing pains and make this a complete success.

      Pros

      Awesome people. The people make it difficult to leave.

      Cons

      Senior management have no balls. They know the decisions made are wrong and yet they do it anyway. The core products are amazing even though no one believes it. The consumer photo and video products are terrible and they continue to make them worse all because they dont take the time to develop and test them properly.
