Pros

The people at Quest were generally between good and terrific. The products were mature and most teams seemed to continue improving them. If you are willing to work hard you could make serious and lasting contributions.

Cons

Since Quest spun off from Dell, its private equity firm owners have made decisions that seem to focus on perception, not reality. Management of a software company would benefit from true vision and direction, not attempts to look profitable at the expense of customers and products.
