Pros

There are some pros for working here, but they're pretty basic/generic. -Work/Life Balance -Benefits -401K Option -Vacation/PBA Offerings -Colleagues

Cons

Lack of merit increases and poor bonuses for lower-salaried employees. The wage gap for women and the unapproachable HR team due to the buddy-system with management. No opportunities for growth within for deserving applicants. Accomplishments, dedication, and hard work go unrecognized. Paid "kick-off" (vacations) for sales teams and massive layoffs and workforce reductions to employees who generate and keep revenue in other departments. I really wish there wasn't a need to focus solely on the "bottom line" with current ownership and that the executive leadership team was focused on continuing with the legacy that was once Quest Software.

Pros

There are none that i can think of

Cons

This job is a last resort, so if you are really desperate, then take the BDR roll at Quest software. To start, the quotas are unrealistic, and they lie to you in the interview process and tell you that the 50k OTE is easily attainable..... which it is not. The bulk of your commission is based on closed business, so if you push a great opportunity through, and the Inside Sales Rep. is not good and looses the account, you do not get paid. It is a minimum 150 calls a day..... Even if you are not talking to people, it still takes you almost all day just to make 150 calls. Again, this is a last resort job, DO NOT TAKE if you have other options, management is terrible, and says they do not micro manage, when that is all that they do..... the pay is terrible, it is extremely below the industry average. There are better companies that pay almost double in base salary, in the austin area. Look around before taking this job. And if you make it to the interview process, they tell you that the average life of a BDR at Quest is between 6 months to a 12 months..... No. the average life is between 3 months (because they quit) and 18-24 months.
