      Loved it until Dell acquisition

      Pros

      Quest had a great culture, customers loved us, we cared about the customers and employees, and there was a lot of growth opportunities.

      Cons

      Dell Acquisition. 110,000 employee Large, slow hardware company acquiring a 4,000 employee software company is going to change everything. It not Dell's fault. They are just a completely different company that internally is focused on Legal and HR compliance, Not on selling software.

      Pros

      Quest Software offered me a number of opportunities that i appreciate. If you looked for ways to expand your horizons and were not afraid to work hard, the opportunities were there to rise within the rank.

      Cons

      Sometimes there was a bit of a good ole boys network there. This is fine if you're part of it but if you're not, you'll notice opportunities going to others for reasons that can only be explained by giving them to their friends.

      Pros

      Lots of products and diversity. Some room for growth. Really strong QA teams.

      Cons

      Too much management. Management doesn't understand software development. Executives make sure employees know they are replaceable. Pay for most people was below industry average.
