Pros

People at R/GA are very enthusiastic about what they do. For the most part everyone is energetic, passionate and really talented. The building is also cool.

Cons

They will work you until you can't work anymore. They don't give you recognition or raises until you threaten to quit. It's also always very dark in the office. No one believes in lights. There is also a lot of red tape to go through. You spend 80% of your day in meetings and every person on the team, usually 30-50 people has to see what you're working on before it can go to the client. Being a media person in a creative agency like R/GA definitely has it's challenges. The location of the office is also not the best.

Pros

The people – overall, they are talented, smart, and friendly. I didn't run into too many a-holes, which is kind of amazing.

Cons

The account groups are extremely siloed, and it's quite common to only work on a single account at a time. And you better hope it's the Nike account, because everything else comes second.

Pros

Pay is good. Benefits are decent. Usually not asked to work insane hours. Lots of perks around the office and at offsite get-togethers. Easy going atmosphere. Managers aren't running around yelling and cursing at people. Produce high quality work. Get to work with major industry leading clients and often cutting edge projects.

Cons

A little disorganized at times. Some drama kings/queens who act like life/work is always in crisis. Creative folks can be a bit egotistical and emotional. Enormous focus on selling, selling, selling more work (part of regular agency life I guess). A little too big for their britches, in that many people internally are slow to realize that the rest of the industry is fast catching up to them in competency and quality.
