Majority of the employees help each other Friendly environment depending on the dept you work in

Cons

Attendance Policy is terrible. It's inhumane! You are only provided with 3 occurrences (absence days) before you are written up. Human Resources is solely there to look out for the Management team. Additional responsibilities are forced upon you with no compensation. RR Donnelley was a great workplace prior to the Moore Wallace merge and now with the acquisition of Bowne even worse. Employees are not treated fairly in this company.

Insurance is the only reason. Sub poverty wage..no way to have a second job...hours change by the minute. Family means NOTHING!!!! Awful way to EXIST..if you can call it that....

Pros

Relaxed dress code and comfortable work enviroment. Responsibility and decision-making is shared at the employee level. Not difficult to initiate improvements. It is also a a good location for my commute.

Cons

Low level management needs to have more power to get technical issues resolved for employees. Old equipment/software and access issues - some due to the Bowne to Donnelley transition - make it difficult to be efficient in training contract employees and in processing work in general. Poor support in the IT area even though all work is an electronic enviroment.
