Great Place to work, too bad taken over by horrible RRD

Pros

Great corporate culture. People actually interested in helping each other, no vicious back-stabbing politics. Overall competence of almost all employees. Low turnover. One of the best corporate experiences I've had.

Cons

Somethings overly bureaucratic and slow to change. Takeover by RRD. Having worked at both is it a shame that the unpleasant corporate culture of RRD will destroy Bowne's.

A paycheck every couple of weeks.

Cons

Very limited growth opportunities. The impossible is expected in 8 hrs so 50/60 hr weeks are necessary more and more. The culture of the company doesn't seem to respect an employee's need for balance in their work/social/family life.
