Pros

Great place to work . Conservative with a focus on shareholder value while managing risk. The bank has a long term view and dissuades employees from looking at risky short term gains .

Cons

The banks hiring process is prone to disregard these core values and so often times hires from outside do not always meld into the culture especially when they have no long term interest in the bank. Senior Management is Canadian centric which is fine as long as the bank is a North American super regional. This will become an issue as the bank grows globally in Europe and Asia We will all need to look at getting North Americans with extensive European or APAC experience or at trusted local hires in the regions to head these businesses.
