Pros

There are several "best" reasons to work for RBC Bank. First, our benefits are Wonderful and very affordable compared to other companies. Second, there are so many departments within the bank which provides us the opportunity to learn and grow within the "same" company if we choose a new path. Third, the pay is competitive with the market for related positions. Last but not least, RBC is located around the world so there should be opportunities in the event someone needs to relocate! Great place to work!

Cons

There is no specific downside related directly to RBC Bank. Even though RBC is a great place to work, it still has "drama" within all departments. Of course, this is with any company. It does seem that certain departments get more support for initiatives and ideas than other departments. This has been expressed as one side of the bank being the "Dark" side of the bank.

Pros

RBC is a very sound financial institution with many different products to offer. This lends itself to also having many job growth opportunities. The people are generally friendly and very helpful. I find that, for the most part, clients leave happy and are starting to spread the word in our area about our service. There is a very strong emphasis on placing the goals of the client as a number one priority. As with all sales roles, there are minimum expectations for mystery shops. Beyond that, there is an open door we can walk through to make each client interaction unique. All-in-all, RBC Bank is poised to be a strong choice when seeking employment.

Cons

some miscommunications about expectations, frustrations when researching items that were more easily found when worked with competitor bank
