An Awful Company! I finally left!

Pros

Making your own hours--but always being asked to take more. I liked my field supervisors.

Cons

Field supervisors are overworked and have to cover whatever DC's cannot. They constantly cut pay but continue to charge client the original rate so they pocket more. The piece rate on one of my jobs was cut from .10 to .064 another .12 to .075 that's nearly 50% for the same work that I had been doing for over 10 years. What kind of company gives a 50% pay cut to a 10 year employee? They are extremely demanding of the DC's but the standard for the office staff is so low. Really any "pro" for working for these people quickly disappears. There is no "thank you" no nothing not even after a decade of hard work. I could just repeat all the other negative comments because they're all true... Don't bother with these people.

Pros

Usually set your own hours, you are not micro aaged in person,as you very seldom see your immediate supervisor.

Cons

After almost 14 years, I just received another pay cut, this one about 40%. Upper managementdoes not care, as since the job requires no education or experience, they can always hire someone else. N compensation per diem for "travel" people who live in hotels forweeks on end. The amount of hours you are given s just enough to keep you from any vacation pay. Bonuses have gone from over 1000 to less than 50 over 15 yers. If you ever call your immediate supervisor with a problem, the buck is always passed to personel. You will never feel wanted at this company. Look at the video of the upper management stealing a Queen classic. This is where my pay raise goes. They are singing all the way to the bank, having sold the company 5 times during my tenure. You do have the ablity to make your own wage, but it is mind numbing, back breaking work. They take the info we collect, pay us less ad less, and then sell this to many clients, giving them free pricing info. If you are ever thrown out of a store, dont call them. They encourage you to do hat you have to to be able to "steal" pricing info in stores that do not openly allow pricing. These stores have a notice n the front door that you are trespassing, but do it anyway. No communication with any management. You will never get ahead. New hires make what seasoned vets do,actually more since they are ounger andnot stooed over yet. Run,dont walk away from this company. Last note, health insurance has gonefrom great policies, to a 1500 a year cap to noe at all. That was the only benefit.

Strongly Do Not Recommend Working Here.

Pros

-There is limited opportunity to choose your path at this company, but don't expect any support in getting there.

Cons

- Negative Impact on your Mental Health. For the reasons listed, many former employees report severe symptoms of burnout, anxiety, and low self worth even after leaving voluntarily for better jobs. - Poor COVID-19 response. Laid off half of staff, cut pay of many individual contributors. Leadership shared that they took pay cuts as well, but even so, expect to hear about new luxury car purchases while you are struggling to get by. Don't ask about Work From Home options. Mask enforcement is not happening in office. - Compensation, PTO, benefits are well below market standards. You will not be paid fairly if they think they can hire you for less. Expect low-ball offers. Meaningless job titles make it difficult to advocate for compensation increases. - Compensation increases are rare, mostly limited to "Cost of Living Adjustments" that are not reflective of market realities. You will lose salary due to inflation. Good luck getting your manager to engage with you on your compensation or career development. - Unsafe environment for minority groups. Not overtly discriminatory, but you will face microaggressions, exclusion, and barriers to advancement. Expect the occasional HR-worthy comment. - Toxic culture of constant infighting and politics. Leaders regularly engage in hostile office politics and make rude or derogatory comments about employees, yourself or others, to your face or behind closed doors. Rampant favoritism & preferential treatment. - No setup for success. You will be buried in work, given limited or conflicting directions, using outdated legacy systems that are confusing and overly complex with limited or no documentation, and criticized for missing 1 of 100 steps that you were not made aware of or trained on. - No standardization. Each customer has unique, complex, and largely undocumented processes and pricing structures. Highly manual work environment, lack of technologies to assist, automate, & streamline. Expect to re-build solutions already created from the ground up, often.
