Lean, Steady, and Proactive

Pros

- Small, experienced, and capable team RISCPoint is a lean and agile company with a very strong base of experienced people. Your ideas and input are always heard and there is no barrier or additional layer of management between employees and executives. - Great variety of work in a field that can skew a bit repetitive The skillsets of the people here allow employees to have more autonomy in the types of projects they are involved in. - Strong focus on employee satisfaction and company culture Since joining a few months ago, I have already been asked by the CEO, multiple times, about what I'd like to see the company do to create and maintain a strong culture. Coming from a company where I never spoke to the CEO, this level of involvement has been very encouraging. - Competitive pay and benefits Pay is at or above industry average and benefits such as health insurance and PTO are head and shoulders above other companies I've worked for. - Impressive, steady, and sustainable growth RISCPoint has been growing steadily to become a better organization - not merely a larger one. Although this is a smaller organization than previous employers, the pace of work, financial state of the company, and rate of growth provides a much stronger sense of stability and longevity.

Cons

- All remote: Like most organizations in the compliance space, RISCPoint is all remote. Some may not prefer or excel in remote roles. - No set-in-stone processes/methods: With the smaller size of the organization and variety of work conducted, many projects do not have a standardized process or pre-defined workflow. Those that prefer very structured roles may not find RISCPoint to be an ideal fit.

DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

The salary and benefits are decent.

Cons

There a lot of cons I could mention: work life balance is non existent, everyone works well beyond 40 hours a week and it seems like everyone works on the weekends, there is no clear organizational structure, there is a major lack of support, low level employees are managing themselves AND their “managers”, you’ll get yelled at and your intelligence gets questioned…..I could go on. This is by far the worst place I have ever worked. What’s really strange is that when I first started, I would seek feedback from higher-ups and my “manager”, and I was always told that they understood there’s a lot to learn so they just want me to try my best, and ask questions if I get stuck. It truly felt like I had support. Things quickly changed out of the blue. I was yelled at and shamed for asking clarifying questions and for bringing up issues that I was running into. I could barely get my work done because I was receiving NO support. All I got was anger and insults. Please don’t work here.
