      Good People, Poor Management Decisions

      Pros

      There is strong cohesion within the office — people are genuinely nice, supportive, and always willing to help each other. However, this positive atmosphere exists mostly within the teams, not in management.

      Cons

      There has been a lot of micromanagement lately, with very little transparency from leadership. Salary raises are minimal. Instead of investing in training or development opportunities to help us stay competitive, they decided to make 98 people redundant. They made some changes in our job descriptions and encouraged us to reapply for those positions — with a three-month probation period — despite many of us having worked there loyally for years. Shortly after the layoffs, the company organized a tech conference and a team-building event, expecting everyone to be cheerful — it felt completely tone-deaf and disconnected from reality. I was laid off after many years with the company — a disappointing and disheartening end to what used to be a great place to work.

In line with industry expectations, we are moving in a new direction and have had to redefine role expectations to align them with the long-term sustainability of RLDatix. To fill these positions, we have invited all interested internal employees to apply. Recently, we invited all employees to attend our conference where we could be forthcoming about our new direction as well as build anticipation for upcoming projects and transparency surrounding expectation management.       CAREER PROGRESSION - I am in my 4th role within Allocate/RLDatix and just applying for my 5th. Each of these have been or may be a Promotion, which clearly evidences career progression and looking after their employees! PASSION - Not only am I passionate about how I deliver my work to our customers but the Organisation as a whole is hugely passionate for its customers, the work we deliver, the role we play in the Care Industry and generally just ensuring everyone is looked after with the software we produce and the tools we have! COMMITMENT - Having been here for 10 years, the commitment shown to me in terms of career development, ensuring there are opportunities available across different functions has been inspiring. Secondly, the commitment to ensuring we have the best and continue to offer the best software solutions in the market to the Care Industry is even more inspiring. FLEXIBILITY - From day one of my service with Allocate/RLDatix, the ability for working on different projects, with different customers and different internal teams has been brilliant. In addition, having the flexibility of being home-based has also been a real positive when travelling about for work etc.

      Cons

      Salary can sometimes be less than the averages but made up for with rewards and benefits. I have not always felt this though, due to career progression, so this is stemmed from conversations over the years!

      The work environment specially in MEA office is great, feeling like family not just colleagues, also learning something new maybe every day
