Pros

ROI Revolution has stepped up in many ways during a challenging 2020, showing just how much it cares about its employees. The company swiftly closed its office in March when COVID-19 cases were on the rise, and ensured that all employees had IT equipment to work from home. It has since opened the office back up on a limited and voluntary basis, allowing for employees to make the right decision for themselves and their families. ROI has also rolled out generous benefits this year including increased PTO, increased WFH (pre-COVID), and company-paid short-term and long-term disability. In a year when many companies have implemented hiring freezes, cut benefits, or held back on promotions/merit increases, ROI has added these benefits and rolled out promotions/merit increases; that generosity is not lost on me. The company has also launched many mental health initiatives to ensure employees are taking care of themselves. I have always been pleased with the way ROI supports and cares for its employees, but this year has shown me that it is a company that lives by its core values in both the good and challenging times.

Cons

While the company has been extremely transparent about its reopening plans, I would welcome a more defined timeline for reopening as soon as that clarity is possible. I understand that COVID-19 cases are on the rise and that there isn't much predictability at the moment, but as soon as there is more predictability, I'd appreciate a specific update.

We are grateful for the resilience and dedication that our team members have shown this year; it's because of each ROIer's efforts that we were able to roll out the benefits described. We will share a more definitive office re-open plan and timeline as soon as possible, so stay tuned! Best, Petra

Pros

ROI Revolution is very people oriented. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful and genuinely strives to help the company and the team succeed. The company really lives into their core values to Be the Good, Embody a Growth Mindset, Put Others First, and Relentlessly Pursue Excellence. Management really cares about the people that work here and has continued to evolve policies and benefits in response to employee feedback and market studies.

Cons

Diversity of the workforce is somewhat limited, but this is a focus for the company going forward.

Pros

ROI Revolution aims to be the best place to work in the area and they are constantly making improvements to this end. The benefits are impressive and ever-expanding based on employee feedback (which they solicit feedback every few months so they can constantly grow and improve). Key benefits include 401k match, leave early/arrive lates, flexible work from home, bonus for completing 5 hours of education each month, and many more. What I most appreciate about ROI is that they consistently choose to do the right thing. When COVID struck, they sent employees home and provided equipment and office supplies. They're understanding and sympathetic of work-life balance. When the civil rights protests started across the country, management checked in on employees and the company created time and space for diversity training and discussions (all on the clock for hourly employees as well). They offer 2 hours on the clock to vote on election day so employees don't have to take time off to exercise their right to vote. They offer in-office, free flu vaccines, and while we've been working remotely, they offer paid time off for this. With PTO not being used as much while we're all at home because of COVID, they increased the amount of PTO we could roll over into 2021. They also make market adjustments every single year and increase salaries accordingly (this is separate from your yearly performance review, which offers another opportunity for advancement). They consistently do the right thing for their employees and it feels great to work for a company like this.

Cons

The company likes to promote from within, which is admirable. However, the management positions are often filled by those with the most seniority, rather than that best candidate for the job. Because of this, there are some in managment positions who do not excel in this role, while others are in lower level positions and "level out" and then eventually leave the company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate your thoughts on promoting from within. This is something that can be tricky to balance. Of course, the ultimate goal is always to find the best person for the job at hand. All candidates, whether internal or external, go through an interview process to be sure that we are able to properly evaluate each candidate against the requirements of the job. We are committed to continuing this approach to provide employees with internal growth opportunities while also prioritizing a diverse candidate pool. You spoke a lot about the ways in which we have responded to the various challenges of 2020. It has certainly been a hard year for so many and we are proud of the support and flexibility we have been able to offer our employees. We will continue to do our best in this area and really live out our core values to ‘Be the Good’ and ‘Put Others First’! Best, Barbara
