Pros

Employees are given a lot of autonomy and access to robust training resources, there is a monthly bonus for logging education hours. You will quickly build your technical marketing and communication skills. The benefits and compensation are more than fair and there are a lot of new roles being created at the company. The work done for clients is impactful and there are opportunities to work on new projects and initiatives in the company if you want them. The facility is nice: stocked kitchen, game room (rarely used though), ergonomic workstations, three monitors

Cons

A stressful work-life balance that you would expect from an agency environment.

A good place to work

Pros

A lot of work has gone into developing strong team relationships at ROI. You have the support of your direct team and many others across the company to really provide full service digital marketing to your clients.

Cons

There was already a specific way to handle most client situations. While I did learn a lot about digital marketing, I found it difficult to branch out and learn skills beyond my immediate job.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m happy to hear that your experience reflected our commitment to teamwork, both within our individual teams, as well as across the company. In terms of branching out and building skills beyond the immediate job, we now have opportunities to do this formally in Client Services within our Cross-Service Paired Learning Program. Additionally, we encourage frequent conversations about career goals among managers and their team members to give managers the chance to support their team members’ specific goals, whether that be through technical mentorship, additional time for paired learning or job shadowing. Of course, we continue to seek out more opportunities for cross-functional work and are currently piloting some new ideas! Best, Barbara
