Pros

Initially, I liked the culture and the people that I worked with. Yeah a stocked kitchen and catered lunch is great, but its not "free" you pay for this in your paycheck. They are good at talking it up to potential employees and make you feel special when you get hired. You do learn some useful skills to carry onto your next job if its in the same field.

Cons

There is a lot of political stuff going on and favoritism without reason. As others mentioned, the fact that there are a lot of dating and married couples here is awkward and seems a little unfair. Long, pretty inflexible hours. Hourly pay is very low and encourages you to work longer hours to make more. You can work really hard and be "great" and still not get anywhere here. Lack of diversity is certainly an issue.

Pros

ROI Revolution is a great place to get your career in online marketing started. The CEO boasts that working at ROI is like getting a master's degree in online marketing. He's not wrong - the skills I developed here over nearly 2 years have allowed me to start my own business and have granted me a specialization in the field. On top of that, the salary for an entry-level position is pretty good with room to grow. The benefits are also very good - health, dental, etc. with a fully-stocked kitchen and catered Friday lunches. ROI does a good job of making you feel like you're an exclusive member of the team - which is really needed after the grueling interview process.

Cons

1. Lack of diversity. I'm not usually one to complain about this issue, but 80% of ROI employees are 22-24 year-old sorority girls. That sounds harsh, but it makes the atmosphere very stifling if you're not part of that demographic. 2. It's very much a luck-of-the-draw as far as who lands the big accounts, which is really where your salary comes from. Some accounts will seem like they can grow but they can't due to various issues, and it's very hard to know whether you'll actually get a good portfolio. 3. Very repetitive work. Lots of people leave after 1.5-2 years because the work gets tedious and better opportunities come along.

Pros

Company breakfast each day Dedicated CEO

Cons

Standardized tests are the first step of the application process. Unfortunately I've seen so many amazing candidates come for their interest, take those exams, and leave to never come back because they "don't fit the persona". Its silly, and its obvious that all of the employees there are SO similar. I fear that they will soon experience a peak in growth because their innovation is all on the same mindset. It is really too bad.
