Pros

I am so lucky to work for a truly amazing company. As a working mother, it is a constant challenge balancing work and life with 3 small children. Radio Flyer provides flexibility and understanding to achieve this balance. Additionally, Radio Flyer continually provides opportunities for growth to ensure its managers and Flyers have all the tools necessary to succeed. These trainings along with the great people and the understanding of high expectations are the perfect combination to foster the highly collaborative environment. Every day, I'm happy and proud that I work for Radio Flyer. Also, as an added bonus, it's so great to see my kids smile and play on the toys that our Flyers create! :)

Cons

I don't have any cons.

Pros

This was my first and only job out of college- which is a hard thing to come by! I was hired on full time just days before the pandemic hit and we went remote, and I never once feared losing my job, which I am extremely grateful for. I felt very supported by my manager during working remotely and have had the opportunity to take on more responsibility with a quick conversation with my team. Management encourages conversations about diversity, inclusion, and current events that impact all of us even if the conversations are tough. The culture is so warm and accepting and your fellow Flyers really do want to see you thrive!

Cons

Connection with fellow Flyers has been tough during the pandemic and my onboarding experience was unique which led to a bit of disconnection in this process. The opportunities to socialize can feel a little unnatural and forced, however, I do feel Radio Flyer is doing the best they can given the situation. The location can be tough to commute to from many surrounding areas of Chicago.

Thank you for your review; we are so glad to have you on the Radio Flyer team! I am pleased to hear you felt secure and supported in your role throughout the pandemic. Our culture helped us stay connected during such a strange year and I can’t wait for everyone to be in the office!!!! I am really looking forward to the Fall when you will have more opportunities to connect with Flyer’s in person too. Thanks, Robert.

Great Company Culture and Benefits

Pros

I've worked at Radio Flyer for over five years now I started off as an intern and was hired on full-time after graduation. The culture here is amazing from the warm memories committee, which celebrates life events (weddings and babies) at company meetings, to the two paid volunteer days off where you get to spend the day volunteering in the community with fellow flyers (co-workers)! Radio Flyer did a great job responding to the COVID-19 pandemic when it first hit. Within a week of going remote, they had reassured employees that they wouldn't need to worry about losing their jobs and set up weekly all-company meetings to keep everyone informed on what challenges or successes the company was facing.

Cons

The office location isn't convenient to commute to.

Thanks for your review. I appreciate your feedback about return to office. It is our goal to make sure that all Flyers feel safe and comfortable while being onsite and prioritizing the health and safety of all Flyers continues to be extremely important as we get closer to normalcy. Thanks, Robert.
