Pros

I have been with Yankee Leisure Grp for 15 years and I have seen it grow from 20 employees to the almost 100 employees we currently staff in all four of our locations. Yes, it is true that there have been many growing pains along the way but I feel the Directors have always taken the processes that didn't work and use them as learning tools for future improvements. The Executive team does have the best of intentions for the employees. They work hard to be able to provide the best benefits that we can, for example our 401K plan has a contribution match. Also, I can't think of too many companies that offer the travel opportunities that we do. Where else do you get the chance to travel to great locations, I just returned from the Rocky Mountains and Yosemite, and get paid for it. You also get to interact with other members of the company, who work in different departments and locations, in a way you can't in the office. There is so much opportunity here and I have seen so many people promoted from within, it really is a great company to work for.

Cons

No Company is perfect, there is always room for improvements in every department.

Pros

The FAM trips are a wonderful benefit, allowing everyone to experience our product the way our clients would. The employees are focused on moving the company forward, and takes the growing pains in stride as it is a small number of people holding up a rapidly growing company. Frank, the president, offers an incredible open door policy and truly cares not just about the company's success, but about your personal success. While the growing pains are difficult, I absolutely love working for YLG and have no plans to depart. I have made many friends here and love the passion among the majority of the staff.

Cons

Management sets unhealthy competition between coworkers in hopes of fostering success and drive, when it does the opposite. Some upper management roles are often disconnected from the team that creates their numbers and only join in during points of failure with scrutiny instead of aiding to bounce back from it. There is also a "boys club" vibe among upper management, which is sadly accepted by most employees and is talked about from senior hires to new hires. With slight changes in attitude and mentality, the cons can easily be resolved to make YLG a more enjoyable, positive workplace environment.

Pros

- Growing company with a focus on promoting from within, so there are plenty of opportunities for progression. - Good office vibes and a friendly working atmosphere. - There is the odd drink on Friday's after work at the local, and quar terly team building activities - so lots of opportunities to get to know your team and have fun doing it. - Great management across all offices with a real focus on developing the individual. - Plenty of travel opportunities through yearly FAM trips (which are a fantastic way to learn the product, meet your colleagues from across the pond and they're always super fun!) and opportunities for trips out to the US and Australia offices. - The best thing of all - Everyday is different, challenging, and there is always something new to learn.

Cons

- Nothing that comes to mind.
