Pros

I worked in the London office and the people are mostly really decent and there a fun atmosphere. The sales manager is really down to earth. The company owner is a super charismatic and fun guy to have around.

Cons

Management is to hierarchical for such a small company and the commission scheme is ridiculously complicated and terrible. At YLG the workload is crazy and I was inevitably working overtime most days for no reward or praise and the commission pay is lower than any other company in the industry, they even pay travel agents more than they pay their own staff. You are constantly told to up-sell and pressure people into buying quickly which is because they over charge massively on everything, essentially ripping people right off and then being told to lie about it which sucks because the customer demographic is all old people so you'll feel like a bad person thats getting paid enough commission for your sins to buy a beer or two, not even enough to forget how miserable you are at your job! Theres also this weird love of sacking people, people quit a lot too, which management explain is very normal which it really isn't.

Pros

Solid place for entry level people to gain a foothold. Fun to sell product with mostly friendly clientele. Lunches provided when when sales goals are met. Employees foster enjoyable atmosphere. Located in a pleasent office building.

Cons

Management comprised of slick "salesmen types". Extremely high turnover in employees. Aging client base. Unattractive office space. Outdated pc's on their last legs as well as tiny computer monitors. Unreasonable healthcare plans with very high premiums.

Pros

Great foundation, positive president, client demographic is so much fun to work with, lovely staff ( that is left )

Cons

The turn over in employees speaks for itself and management continues to make excuses. No, it's not normal to see upward of 35 employees, hired and gone within the time I was employed with the company, even if it's a "call center". It is an amazing product that sells itself, stop making excuses for the ridiculous turn around. It's management, wasting time not vetting new employees and making loyal, compatant staff pay for the gross mismanagement. In the end, it just hurts the consumer.
