      Pros

      If you are workaholic and love to learn many new business and people, Rakuten is good as the company is growing fast. It is hiring more and more talented foreigners who will be an important part in changing the company into the great global one.

      Cons

      Small salary and you need to choose team and department wisely. (You need a little inside to help you.) Many teams here are still domestics and too traditional with too much top-down structures. You will feel good only when you are in a global team but feel the worst and wanna quit right away in a domestic one.

      target is high and everyone works late culture is typical Japanese culture.

      Fast Changing Company

      Pros

      The company is changing fast. In a few years, it has changed from a local player to a global player. There are many foreigners in the company and if you are luck enough to end up in a foreigner dominated department, then life can be easy. You can communicate more in English and you don't have to put in many extra hours after work.

      Cons

      There is no clear career path for young employees. People tend to stay at one position for long periods of time. It is good if you wish to stay there forever but would make transition to work in another company difficult.
