Pros

The stakeholders are really incredible and many are legacy employees. The director level leadership team is open to ideas/feedback/input and gives lower level employees lots of opportunities to manage up and prove themselves. I didn’t meet a single director that want incredible. The company is iconic. Especially as far as fashion goes (most of us worked for competitors before going RL) the workplace environment is full of kind people and feels relatively secure if you work hard and pay attention.

Cons

Mid-level management is WAY overworked which trickled down to very little support for/communication with their direct reports. People are extremely over worked and under compensated, even at the associate level. The hours are BANANAS, even for a fashion company. The company basically went permanently remote for the NYC office, which made consistent long days and nights combined with a lack of communication a lot tougher, IMO. I didn’t feel like there was a ton of room for growth in my department.

Pros

Discounts but merchandise is still over priced

Cons

Rude management Not culturally diverse Find management to be extremely prejudiced and you will see there aren’t many cultures in high management roles Teams are unprofessional and managers hold screaming matches with other teams like a battle for superiority The worse place I have ever worked and had the worse boss one could imagine. Only worked overtime to degrade and belittle. Was a horrible environment and sad because it is such a historic brand. Harassed everyday and never properly trained. The CEO seems to put in place big initiatives to change the environment but honestly in order to save the brand they will honestly need to do a clean sweep of management. This will help to get fresh real people who have morals and consideration for others. Few people at the bottom are the kindest you will work with but the majority are extremely rude and will look right through you like they never seen you. Not a healthy environment and would not recommend. And before HR comments and tells me to contact them, I have and wrote a complain regarding my manager and nothing was done.
