      Pros

      They had good benefits like a strong medical plan, fruit and oatmeal every morning, bagels on Fridays, author speaker series, etc. Good work-life balance.

      Cons

      Management did not always communicate strategy clearly. The company's business model still relied heavily on litigation when I was there.

      Pros

      Had good equipment, instruments in lab (high speed signal integrity) Had good infrastructure for doing simulation (analog, signal integrity)

      Cons

      Benefits and HR department use to be excellent but quality of both decreased. Engineers tend to be kept separated from customers. Management and marketing tend to interface with customers and act as a filter between engineers and customers. Several strategy and marketing plans made in past were questionable and didn't work out. Managers that made those decisions still there.

      Pros

      Best boss and best co-workers of my career. I'm constantly encouraged and supported to try new things and look at the old things in new ways. The benefits are amazing and you don't have to give up having a life to get them (like you do at some of those "best places to work" kind of companies). I'm very proud of Rambus' contribution to the communities we work in. Even during tight times, we did not reduce the (substantial) dollar amount of our donations. On top of that, employees are encouraged to volunteer at corporate and non-corporate-sponsored organizations.

      Cons

      The company has been through some challenges in the past but I really believe we're primed for a great future.
