      - Small enough to contribute to the future of the company at every level, large enough to provide a more stable atmosphere with room for growth - Pay/Benefits - Exposure to and ability to work across multiple technologies

      Long history in the semiconductor industry. Retains a lot of talented electronic engineers and atmosphere is good if you like to work for a research institution.

      Cons

      The company direction changes all the time. Lack of expertise to create real products from research results. Not enough experience to do software business.
