Pros

If a company has an ethos it lives and breathes and is directly linked to looking after and developing its own talent then why think that moving roles is necessary. You have tough days and fun days but that encompasses the joy of recruitment and frankly anyone thinking it's easy should pull the wool back over their eyes. Most important factor is reward through recognition development and £££. Work hard I and I am sure lots of companies give this out but that is not always true in recruitment business's. I would say Randstad does that but the reality is that it's the people in Randstad UK that make that happen. There is huge talent here and someone teaches you something new everyday

Cons

It is extremely risk adverse and we have a back office that as a result takes an age to make contractual decisions. understandably there is a balance but we need to be a bit braver and more sensible about the markets we are in. We have to move quicker on technological advances and what the market is doing in front of us. Consultants need more phone and resource time and less admin and juggling systems

We're currently working on some projects to try and reduce the admin time a typical consultant has to ensure you can focus on our clients and candidates... we've also just launched a new live ideas platform where any employee can submit and vote for ideas in real time which will be reviewed by senior management, so please put forward any ideas you have so that we can review them... we've also got some exciting projects underway on new technologies - watch this space!

Pros

The company encourage you to work hard and develop your career. Training is available for everyone - from support staff through to Sales Directors. Randstad is a large Corporate company where you benefit from support / tools, but your individual business line feels like a small boutique / SME. You are trusted to build, drive,manage your own success.

Cons

Brand is not as well know as other Recruitment companies
