Pros

Working at a Customer Location Long term work if desired

Cons

Since merging with United Technologies, the focus is no longer on the Warfighter We went from a company run by Engineers to a company run by Accountants We no longer seem to have a "Core" product (anything for a buck) Benefits have been drastically reduced Raises are minimal while Executives are getting large bonuses A great deal of organizational changes at the top Employee retention problems go mostly ignored Company has gone above and beyond in their attempt to appear "Woke"

Pros

The engineers and technical staff were experienced, kind, and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

HR has been an absolute nightmare to work with after leaving the company. I was forced to promptly leave the company after 10 months of employment to help assist my parents due to a COVID related issue. The contract I signed at the beginning of my employment that I would have to repay all relocation slipped to the back of my mind as I focused on family and it was never mentioned during the offboarding process. HR sent me a bill requesting 30k+ reimbursement, and has been unwilling to negotiate based on the difficult circumstances of my departure. As well as the fact that I worked for 80% of the required term. To top it off, I've made 10-15 calls to my supposed HR contacts with nearly all of them being ignored , and have been forced into waiting days-weeks for irregular e-mail responses. HR ruins what is a otherwise a great company, and has created a nightmare for myself.

Pros

Lots of autonomy. Work can be interesting.

Cons

It's difficult to get others to help you because you need a task code to work on anything and with budgets tight they want to keep hours worked as low as possible. That means no overtime too (like they used to have). Lousy raise this year. 1.5% - what a joke. If they think a raise like this will help them retain engineers then management truly has their heads in the sand. I expect a huge outflow of employees in the coming months, right after the yearly bonus gets paid.
