Pros

Raytheon was a great place to work for my first job after graduation. I actually had a summer internship and was able to move up to a full-time position in another business group. Great starting salary and benefits, I had amazing team managers and an awesome department manager and teammates. It was really incredible and spoiled me in my jobs afterward.

Cons

I never experienced any cons personally, I only heard about negatives from other people. In my opinion, I wasn't there long enough to experience any negatives if there were any.

Pros

Raytheon pays well. Rewards its employees with bonuses. Easy to get software and hardware engineering tools unlike my previous employer.

Cons

Assigned a pager and cell phone the first day. I was tied to my job 60/hours a week. Assigned multiple projects simultaneously. Highly stressful. This work is only for people where their job is their passion. It wasn't for me but to be fair others like it.

Pros

Good pay, work life flexibility. If you get into a good position, you'll gain great experience and learn a lot.

Cons

You can get stuck in one roll even if you push for other responsibilities. Leadership is shockingly poor. Absolutely no ownership of problems with mid to senior leaders. I asked for training and was denied. Then told I can't get other types of work without the training and experience. How do I get training and experience if you deny both based on lack of experience? Very political. Senior staff's retaliation is overlooked because they are senior. Metrics for promotions are vague and this company will not promote you unless you are a favorite. You must leave the company and apply and come back in a year to get a promotion. This company really doesn't care about the employees.
